Advanced Digital Skills and Global Certifications under KPYEP

Project Objective

The new wave of digital skills has created an explosion in demand of qualified & experienced people that are required. Pakistan now has more young people than it has ever had, and this is forecasted to continue to increase until at least 2050. Getting the right skills to allow is key for the country to grow and become prosperous. The lack of such digital talent in the market is a major challenge to the employers in hiring the right people these days.

To overcome this Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) through its flagship initiative Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Employment Program (KPYEP) is empowering and encouraging the youth of the province with Advance Digital Skills and Global Certification too so they can meet the rapid growth and evolving of the digital economy and improve their job prospects. This will develop a cadre of experts on key advanced and highly demanded skills of the market such as cloud computing and data analytics.

Objectives:

Delivery of training to youth on the following digital skills:
Amazon Web Services [AWS Foundation, AWS Solutions Architect/Developer – Associate]
Microsoft Azure [Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate]
Big Data Analytics [AWS Certified Data Analytics]
Providing mentorship to the trainees towards their certification’s aspirations.
Organizing Digital Talent Expo event to infuse the KP youth with industry.

This project is being exclusively by The Gen Web Service, Genese and Lions Europe.

Eligiblity Criteria

Applicant's age must be under 35 years.
Applicant must be an ICT graduate or an ICT student in his/her final year (including Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Data Science etc.)
Applicant's CGPA must be 2.5 or above (for graduates and final semester/year students)
Applicant's domicile should be from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (including merged districts)
Applicant must hold a valid CNIC
Females, transgenders and people with disability are encouraged to apply.

About KPYEP

To tackle the unemployment and limited economic opportunities in the province, KPITB launched its flagship initiative, “KPYEP”, to the youth with in-demand digital skills and knowledge areas required by local and foreign industry. The initiative was launched in 2016 with an object to bridge the skill gap and establish a thriving ecosystem that supports innovation with a core foundation of large digital skill workforce. In addition, enhance gender inclusivity through the increased interest of female graduates to avail the benefits of the freelance digital economy. The benfits include;
